The Tennessee Titans look to build on last season’s strong performance in coverage after allowing the second-fewest passing yards in 2024. The team bolstered its safety depth by signing former Carolina Panther Xavier Woods and drafting former Penn State Nittany Lion Kevin Winston Jr. in the third round. Woods and Winston join a solid starter in Amani Hooker.
However, one starter is no longer a part of their depth.
Tennessee Titans’ veteran suffered a significant injury

Quandre Diggs suffered an apparent foot injury during the second quarter in Week 9 against the New England Patriots after attempting to tackle Pop Douglas. Tests and an MRI determined he had suffered a season-ending Lisfranc injury, typically carrying a six-to-twelve-month recovery time. Since Diggs’ injury occurred in November, he may not be cleared for another month or so and could miss the start of the season.

Tennessee Titans’ 3x-Pro Bowler hasn’t been cleared and remains unsigned

During an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Quandre Diggs was asked about his mindset amid the uncertainty of his NFL career and what team he wants to play for. The Pro Bowl safety said he has not signed yet because he has not been cleared. Diggs also hopes to join a contender since he’s getting up there in age.
“I’m fine, honestly. I’ve been blessed. I was playing well last year before I broke my foot. I haven’t been cleared yet from my foot surgery, I think that’s why opportunities have been a little bit slower. I know the time will come. I’ll be ready when it’s that time to go,” Diggs said.
“Obviously, the opportunity to win. I’m 32, going on Year 11. I made good money in my career, so for me, it’s about winning at this stage, and I really want to win. If you can join a contender, play, and be part of a good team, I think that’s something you want to do at this part of your career.”
