The Tennessee Titans defeated the New England Patriots 17-20 yesterday, thanks to a game-clinching interception by Amani Hooker in overtime. With this victory over the Patriots, the Titans are 2-7 and rose to 3rd place in the AFC South division standings. Not only did they jump in the AFC South standings but rose to 11th in the AFC Playoff Picture, albeit a playoff run is highly unlikely.
Unfortunately, in their Week 9 victory, the Titans had many players exit the game with injuries, including their Pro Bowl defensive back.
The Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl safety suffered a foot injury

Quandre Diggs suffered an apparent foot injury after attempting to tackle DeMario Douglas in the second quarter. The medical staff carted Diggs to the locker room for further examination. Head coach Brian Callahan gave a disappointing injury update on Diggs and Lloyd Cushenberry III during the postgame.
“Just to start off injury-wise, two guys that probably don’t look great right now. We’ll still take the time to look at them, but Quandre Diggs with a foot and Lloyd (Cushenberry III) with an ankle of some sort,” Callahan said. “We’ll get the imaging, but not real positive on those two at this point.”
The Tennessee Titans announced devastating news

According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Quandre Diggs suffered a significant Lisfranc injury that requires surgery. The expectation is that the Titans place him on season-ending injured reserve. Losing Diggs is a devastating loss for a secondary, which allows the fewest passing yards this season.

Diggs signed a one-year $3 million contract worth up to $5 million in incentives. He will finish the season with 42 tackles. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2025.

Who replaces him in the starting rotation?

The expectation is for Mike Brown to replace Quandre Diggs in the starting rotation. Brown has spent the last two seasons with the Titans after bouncing around with the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers in 2022, his rookie season. He filled in for Diggs for the final 56 (81%) snaps against the Patriots.
He will be an exclusive rights-free agent after the conclusion of the 2024 season.
