“GOOD Move”: Fans React to Tennessee Titans Adding Tackling Machine

The Tennessee Titans held a competition for the No. 2 linebacker position alongside Cody Barton, featuring two second-year players. Both James Williams Sr. and Cedric Gray impressed and showed flashes during training camp and the preseason, but the team has yet to announce the starter. Since the Titans do not have a clear-cut starter and their depth outside Barton is young and inexperienced, they could be in play for a veteran free agent.

According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, the Titans have signed Kyzir White to the practice squad. He joins his fourth team and enters his eighth year in the NFL. With less than a week to prepare for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, White may not start until he understands the playbook, but he could eventually take over if James Williams Sr. or Cedric Gray struggles or fails to stand out.

Kyzir White signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals during the 2023 offseason, reuniting with former Eagles defensive coordinator and current head coach Jonathan Gannon. He recorded 227 tackles, 18 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, and two interceptions across 28 starts, having missed the final six games in 2023 with a torn bicep. White had a solid 2024 campaign, finishing with the second-most tackles of his career while boasting career-highs in tackles for loss and sacks, with 137 tackles, nine TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and one interception across 17 starts.
