The Tennessee Titans aren’t one of the most talked about teams in the NFL. After suffering through another disappointing season in 2024, they’re even less talked about.
Despite that fact, the Titans have some good pieces in place and they have plenty of avenues to success. There are a lot of things that they can explore doing this offseason in order to take a big step forward.
Of course, most of that will start by finding a new starting quarterback. Unfortunately, Will Levis has not been able to prove that he can be that guy. Whether Tennessee signs someone in free agency or takes a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, they should be able to find a good option.
With that being said, a new major free agency target has been suggested for the Titans who would help take their defense to the next level.
Tennessee Titans Linked to Huge Addition in 2025 NFL Free Agency
Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports has named Tennessee as one of the top potential free agency fits for Kansas City Chiefs star linebacker Nick Bolton.
Bolton would be a huge addition for the Titans. After acquiring L’Jarius Sneed from the Chiefs last offseason, bringing the 24-year-old linebacker would help Tennessee start building up their defense the way Kansas City did.
During the 2024 NFL season with the Chiefs, Bolton ended up playing in 16 games. He racked up 106 tackles to go along with three sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, an interception, and six defended passes. He stuffed the stat sheet.
Depending on the price tag, the Titans should be all-in on trying to sign Bolton.
If Tennessee can land a big quarterback upgrade, add a piece like Bolton, and continue adding more pieces across the roster, the team could get back into contention in 2025.
While there are a lot of other teams who will be in on Bolton, the Titans are certainly one to keep an eye on as well.
