Injuries continue to pile up on the Tennessee Titans’ receiving corps, with two wide receivers already ruled out against the New England Patriots. Calvin Ridley will miss his first game due to a hamstring injury, while Bryce Oliver will miss his fifth straight week with a nagging knee issue. That leaves Tyler Lockett, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, and Van Jefferson as the only healthy receivers on the active roster.
With all the injuries, this could create an opportunity for a fan favorite.
Tennessee Titans’ fan favorite was QB’s top target in 2024

Cam Ward transferred from Washington State to Miami for the 2024 season. The first-overall pick established a strong connection with Xavier Restrepo, making him his favorite target while leading the team in receiving. Restrepo hauled in 69 receptions for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns across 12 games, earning All-American and All-ACC First-Team honors.
Restrepo had a disappointing Pro Day performance after suffering a right hamstring injury during warm-ups, resulting in a horrific 4.83-second 40-yard dash. Because of this, he went from a projected Day 2 pick to undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. He signed with the Titans but didn’t make the 53-man roster, and later joined the practice squad.
Week 7 would be a great opportunity for the undrafted rookie

With Calvin Ridley and Bryce Oliver out, leaving the Titans with only four healthy wide receivers, Week 7 presents a golden opportunity for Xavier Restrepo to make his regular-season debut. He could assist with Cam Ward’s development, given his connection and familiarity with the rookie quarterback, and provide a reliable target against the New England Patriots. Restrepo can be elevated from the practice squad to the gameday roster three times without penalty, and we will not know until the 3:00 pm deadline on Saturday whether he’s playing.
Fans urge the team to play the rookie receiver

I posted yesterday “Restrepo > ridley” and ppl thought I was joking. I was absolutely serious. I believe 100% that Xavier could have the same or better production as Calvin… for a WHOLE lot less money.

5) #Titans activate Xavier Restrepo and he leads the team in receiving

It already made no sense Restrepo wasn’t up, now it would just be absurd. Dude can play

Activating Restrepo means the fans know more than the coaching staff and they can’t suffer that humiliation
— Michael (@highonfire73) October 17, 2025
If Restrepo isn’t suited up come Sunday, Amy is gonna have to see me.
— The Architect (@BkBap) October 17, 2025
Don’t understand the people arguing against this. There is zero downside to giving Restrepo a game to show what he can do. It’s not going to make the team worse. Either he plays well and sticks or plays bad and goes back to practice team.

Restrepo time bc….why not?

Ayomanor and van jeff outside restrepo in the slot, playing Lockett makes literally no sense if we aren’t contending this year
