The Tennessee Titans finished the 2024 NFL season with a 3-14 record under head coach Brian Callahan. This was his first season as the head coach after the Titans fired Mike Vrabel.
Callahan was the Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator the previous season. Brian Callahan went from Joe Burrow to trying to deal with Will Levis and Mason Rudolph at the quarterback position this season.
Tennessee Titans Keeping Head Coach Brian Callahan After Ran Carthon Firing
The Titans on Tuesday made a shocking move by firing general manager Ran Carthon after just two seasons. His record was 9-25 with Tennessee and this feels like an impulsive move by owner Amy Adams. Even though Carthon was canned, they will be keeping head coach Brian Callahan for now.
It will be interesting to see which general manager the Titans will bring in to work with Callahan for the 2025 season. It seemed a little surprising that Carthon was fired, but Callahan was kept. Had the former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator been fired, he would have been the second head coach in the NFL this offseason to be fired after just one season. Jerod Mayo of the New England Patriots was also fired after just one NFL season.

Smart plan. Keep loading up on first overall picks until the job is appealing to a good coach.

This is a weird franchise…I don’t know exactly what it is, but it doesn’t feel authentic

A lot of Titans fans are not happy that Callahan was kept as well. It would have been the golden opportunity for the Titans to start all over by getting a new general manager, head coach, and quarterback. To no surprise, Amy Adams dropped the ball here once again.
