The Tennessee Titans have designated cornerback Caleb Farley for return from the physically unable to perform list. Farley has a 21-day practice window before he can be elevated to the active roster. If Tennessee decides not to activate him in the 21 days, he will miss the remainder of the 2023 season
Farley has been dealing with a back injury since last season.

Farley returned to practice yesterday

Farley made his practice debut on Wednesday. Defensive coordinator Shane Bowen spoke to the media about Farley returning to practice:
“(Farley) has been working his butt off to get back out here. It’s good to see him out here with his teammates, going through drills, doing some things. Just happy for him that he is able to get back out here working with the guys.
I think it was his first time out. We’ll see as he progresses here, but it’s good to get him back. I was excited to see him out here working yesterday.”
Will Tennessee activate him?
It’s unclear whether the Tennessee Titans will activate Caleb Farley off the PUP list before the season’s end because they are eliminated from playoff contention, they have three weeks left to go in the regular season, and they have no reason to play him.
Tennessee will have to decide on his 5th-year option
Tennessee has to decide whether to exercise or decline his 5th-year option during the 2024 offseason. His option is projected to be around $11 to $12 million.
Tennessee will likely decline his 5th-year option and would be an unrestricted free agent during the 2025 offseason.
Hopefully, Caleb Farley can make a full recovery.
