Tennessee has some of the best college football fans, and for the last two weeks, Ohio State fans have been hearing from their new friends of the South.
Ohio State and Tennessee have not met in a football game since January 1996, so it’s been a while, and these two fan bases have been waiting to attack each other.
Tennessee Fans Are Happy With A Away Game
Many argued about who should be the higher seed and host the game two weeks ago. Of course, the Buckeyes got the home game, and at the time, Volunteer fans were told they wouldn’t be getting to play at Neyland for one more time this season.
However, Tennessee fans are starting to change their attitude about attending a road game. The latest ticket sales data shows that many will be heading to Columbus.
Volunteer fans love to travel, and this is the program’s biggest game of the century. However, it will be freezing in Columbus, and not many people from the South like to sit in the cold.
The cold weather doesn’t matter to Tennessee fans because they want to paint Columbus Orange. One fan was happy they were going on the road, stating, “Tennessee fans are making the committee look like geniuses. They knew Tennessee fans would travel to Columbus and not the other way around.”

This is a pretty silly take because there is no way Tennessee would rather be on the road and play in one of the hardest stadiums in the sport.
Also, Ohio State fans travel just as well as Volunteer fans, so there was a great chance that if this game were in Knoxville, there would be a lot of Scarlet and Gray there.
