Football fans are you ready to rumble? It’s national championship football time with TCU vs Georgia in the running for the crown. Monday’s national championship game should be a fun game with a lot at stake. Georgia is looking to secure its second straight championship title. Georgia is also looking to prove they’re the best team in the country. TCU hasn’t played in a national championship game since 1938. TCU last won a national championship in 1938. The Hornfrogs have had a special season and would love to win a championship.

ESPN analytics gives Georgia a 72 percent chance to win the game. Georgia is favored by 12.5 points. The game will be played at Sofi Stadium in Englewood, California, and kick-off at 7:30 p.m. eastern time.

Georgia has been rod-hot since the start of the 2021 season. The Bulldogs have gone 28-1 since 2021. Georgia enters Monday’s game with aspirations of hoisting another national championship trophy. Georgia faces a TCU team that is tough and won’t back down. Georgia’s defense has to continue to play well. TCU has a variety of skill players who can threaten a defense. Georgia’s defense is ranked 10th nationally, allowing 292.1 yards per game, and 12.8 points per game. The key for Georgia is getting after Max Duggan. Duggan is a good quarterback who will make mistakes when pressured.

Offensively Georgia has to establish the running game. Establishing a run game limits TCU’s possessions and Georgia can run play-action, bootlegs, and get downfield. Georgia should also be aggressive on offense and go for it on fourth down.

TCU will be in uncharted waters on Monday. TCU hasn’t experienced playing in the national championship game and have to lock in. The Hornfrogs also have to handle the bright lights of the big game. TCU can do so by executing on offense. TCU’s offense ranks 13th nationally, averaging 476.0 yards per game and 41.1 points per game. Max Duggan has passed for 3,456 yards, thrown 32 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Duggan has to stay calm and direct TCU’s offense. TCU should mix it up on offense and challenge Georgia’s talented defense.

Defensively TCU has to slow down Georgia’s running game. TCU has to win in the trenches and show they are ready to play.  It will be a challenge for TCU’s defense but they should be ready.
