Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, were at the receiving end of some shade thrown by none other than the tight end’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. Nicole shared a video clip of her Halloween outfit in which she wore a dress just like the one Toni Braxton wears in her ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ video.
While Nicole did not exactly say so, many felt that her costume was a call-out to Kelce, and that the tight end wasn’t clearly ‘man enough’ for her. The lyrics that Nicole used in her video clip also seem to point to the same and fans were simply not getting enough of the drama, especially Odell Beckham Jr.’s ex-girlfriend, Lauren Wood.
“Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?… Do you know he begged to stay with me? He wasn’t man enough for me.” The lyrics were sung in the video clip shared by Kayla Nicole on her Instagram..

Many fans loved Kayla Nicole’s costume, including Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Patrick Mahomes who is super tight with Travis Kelce and Swift herself. Of course, Taylor Swift fans were seething with their icon being mocked in Nicole’s reference and spewed hate in the comments section.
Taylor Swift Calls Kayla Nicole ‘Onyx’ In Her New Album
Taylor Swift is also not innocent in all of this ongoing drama with Kayla Nicole, especially with the singer-songwriter penning lyrics that seemingly refer to her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend in her latest album. Fans pointed out the biggest reference to Nicole in Swift’s song ‘Opalite’ in which the artist refers to Kelce’s ex-girlfriend as ‘onyx night’.
“You were dancing through the lightning strikes / Sleepless in the onyx night / But now the sky is opalite” Taylor Swift sings.
Many felt that Taylor Swift was being racist in calling Kayla Nicole the black ‘onyx’ night, and to herself as the brightly colored ‘opalite’. Swift also mocked Nicole as an attention seeker and that she was always on her phone during her relationship with Kelce.
While Swifties have often accused Kayla Nicole of not moving on from her ex-boyfriend, it looks like their own has plenty of moving on to do herself. Unfortunately for Nicole, gangs of Swifties have been harassing her on every social media platform the former sports host appears on. Nicole herself admitted that she has been anxious to open her DMs ever since TLOAS released.
