REPORT: Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Pulled Off Engagement Cover-Up During Kelce’s Season Prep

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have actually been engaged for a longer period of time than the public knows. While Swift and Kelce made the news of their engagement through a joint Instagram post about a day ago, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s father, Ed Kelce, revealed that it actually happened a couple of weeks back.

While the date is not exactly clear, fans are speculating that it might have taken place right after Swift’s surprise appearance on the ‘New Heights’ podcast. When the tight end was asked by his brother and co-host Jason Kelce as to what their plans are after the streaming, Travis Kelce remarked that they were going to the back, which was incidentally where he popped the question to Swift.

According to Ed Kelce, Travis Kelce had been putting off the question for weeks now, and that Taylor Swift was getting “antsy” about when he would propose. Both he and Swift’s father advised Travis Kelce to get on with it and do it anywhere, knowing that it is the thought that counts. Ed Kelce also revealed that the couple immediately FaceTimed everyone in the family as soon as they got engaged.

Taylor Swift got engaged with a huge diamond ring with a vintage-feel, quite different from what celebrities are used to these days. The vintage aesthetic of the ring also mirrors the mindset of Swift, who has been known to be an old soul in a young woman’s body.

Taylor Swift’s engagement was apparently kept very traditional right from the start, and even had Travis Kelce asking her father for her hand in marriage. While this may be considered a pretty conservative and patriarchal move by many, there is still a large percentage of people who believe in the tradition.

According to Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, the tight end asked Taylor Swift’s father about a month back and received a very positive response from Scott Swift. Apparently, Ed and Scott have both been pushing Travis to pop the question soon.

“Well come on, when are you going to get this done?” Scott Swift said to Travis Kelce when the Kansas City Chiefs tight asked for his permission to marry Taylor Swift.

Soon after the couple got engaged, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce called everyone in their family, including Ed Kelce and Scott Swift. The celebrity couple is yet to announce the date of their wedding.
