Pop superstar Taylor Swift, Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce’s fiancée, is making plans for what could become one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings in years. After announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce in August, she has been weighing venues across continents.

Recent developments suggest that a property she already owns will become the centerpiece of her celebration.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce consider Rhode Island mansion for wedding
Taylor Swift is currently adding a 16-by-24-foot bedroom suite and renovating her kitchen at the Watch Hill estate as part of a $1.7 million expansion project. The 11,000-square-foot Colonial-style mansion sits on a five-acre seafront property that includes a private beach and was purchased by Swift in 2013 for $17.75 million.
The timing of these renovations has sparked speculation about the venue choice for her upcoming nuptials. Swift has reportedly decided against a small ceremony, with sources telling Radar Online that she wants a massive celebration worthy of a global icon.
The insider stated that Swift went back and forth but ultimately decided there’s no sense in having a smaller wedding, noting this is the only time she’ll tie the knot.
Swift told The Graham Norton Show in October that she plans a huge wedding because smaller weddings can create more stress when deciding who to include on the guest list.
The rumored guest list now tops 300 people, including close friends, celebrities, and figures from her inner circle.
The estate, known as High Watch or Holiday House, sits atop Watch Hill’s hilltop and features eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and over 700 feet of shoreline.
Swift has hosted star-studded Fourth of July parties at the property and wrote about its history in her 2020 song from the Folklore album.
Close friends Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez have been asked to be bridesmaids, with sources indicating that both Swift’s and Kelce’s mothers are involved in the planning.
Kelce revealed on his New Heights podcast that the couple won’t hire a DJ because they’re live music kind of people.
The wedding is expected to take place in early to mid-2026. While multiple international venues remain under consideration, the Rhode Island property offers both privacy and space for an event befitting one of music’s biggest stars.
