Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is easily one of the most recognizable NFL players in the world. Not only is he known for being one of the best players at his position in league history, but his relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift has made him well-known globally.
Last off season, while Swift was on the international legs of her Eras Tour, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer was a frequent guest at her shows. This newfound popularity, it is theorized by many, led to Kelce’s drop in production from 2023 to 2024.
Indeed, Kelce and Swift have been laying low this spring as the star tight end prepares for what very well could be his final NFL season. But their departure from the limelight has not stopped discussion surrounding the couple, as was evident by recent comments made by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Taylor Swift Sees Kirk Cousins Drag Travis Kelce for Having a Hairy Back
Recently, photos of a shirtless Kelce have been going viral online. These photos show his immense amount of back hair and have garnered a great deal of comments from fans online.
For some reason, Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has never played with Kelce, was asked about the photos during an interview with E! at Universal Studios last week.
“God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,” he said. “That’s awesome. Good for her. Thankfully, I don’t have to deal with that, but I’m in a locker room a lot.”
Kelce has had some fun with the pictures himself, stating on “New Heights,” the podcast he hosts with brother Jason Kelce, “I’m a furry son of the b—h. Me and heat just don’t do well together.”
During that particular episode, which aired on May 21, Kelce joked that back in college, he was nicknamed “Big Yeti” by friends he played basketball with because of how hairy he was.
The brothers have even started to sell podcast merch with “Big Yeti” printed on it.
Clearly, the quips do not bother Kelce in the slightest. He is very comfortable in his own skin and with who he is. It still is strange that Cousins, who has no real history with him, would be asked about such a topic.
That was weird.
