Taylor Swift witnessed some hardcore hating from the Philadelphia Eagles during the Super Bowl on Sunday, both inside and outside the stadium. According to reports, Eagles fans could be seen burning a Chiefs jersey on the streets of New Orleans with chants of ‘F**k Taylor Swift’.
Swift showed up to the Super Bowl at Caesar’s Superdome to show her support for her boyfriend Travis Kelce who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite her presence and support for the team, the Chiefs ended up losing shamefully to the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 40-22. Kelce himself only managed four receptions for 39 yards in that game.
While the Chiefs were simply shabby on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles were on fire. The Eagles were way ahead of the Chiefs during halftime with a stunning 24-0 score. Philadelphia’s quarterback, Jalen Hurts threw for 221 yards, completing 17 passes out of 22 attempts scoring two touchdowns with a solo interception. Hurts also led the team on the ground with 11 carries for 72 yards, scoring once, while DeVonta Smith defended with four receptions for 69 yards.
Taylor Swift has been a regular at Chiefs games ever since she started dating tight end Travis Kelce. Swift was also present to cheer the team on during the AFC Championship game when the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills and earned their ticket to the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Taylor Swift Was Not With Travis Kelce After He Lost The Super Bowl
On another note, Taylor Swift was apparently not with Travis Kelce after he and the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl on Sunday. In a now-viral video, popular band, The Chainsmokers, can be seen facetiming Travis Kelce and remarking that they had just played at the team’s after-party. This means that Kelce had not attended the after party of the Chiefs after the Super Bowl ended.
According to sources close to the couple, both Swift and Kelce are planning on taking a break from their work and going on a vacation to discuss their future. The couple has been dating for more than a year now and there were rumors that Kelce might actually propose to Swift if his team had won the Super Bowl.
In fact, there were also many bets going around about the proposal, despite Kelce mentioning in a ‘New Heights’ podcast episode that he might do it only when the team would play weak teams and not when they were about to play a crucial game like the Super Bowl.
