The New York Giants released its first official depth chart on Tuesday afternoon. One of the positions that this fanbase is paying attention close to is the quarterback position.

Well, it is not a surprise that Russell Wilson was listed first on the depth chart at the quarterback position. Also on the depth chart, Jamies Winston was ranked second on the depth chart and rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was ranked third on the depth chart. After that, Tommy DeVito was ranked fourth and he will most likely be released before the 2025 NFL season begins. Is there much of a quarterback competition between Winston and Dart before the season begins or no?
New York Giants Insider Disagrees About Depth Chart With Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston

Dan Duggan of The Athletic has been covering the Giants really closely during training camp. Duggan had his comments about the quarterback positioning on the depth chart. He agreed with Wilson being first, but he also thought differently about where Winston and Dart were positioned. Duggan said,
“Giants released their first depth chart. Everything matches what I’ve seen at camp except for Jameis Winston being listed as QB2. Jaxson Dart has taken the overwhelming majority of second-team reps, although I could see Winston being QB2 on game day when the season starts. Deonte Banks and Cor’Dale Flott the only “OR” listing. Flott missing time this week with an injury could open the door for Banks to seal that competition. “
With Dart taking over the second team reps, does this mean that he could be the second quarterback behind Wilson before the start of the 2025 NFL season or does it mean that he is just getting more reps? Well, everyone knows what Winston can provide already in the NFL. Daboll probably just probably wants to see he has with Dart at the second-string spot in camp and it will be interesting to see who will get more game reps in preseason game action.
