Unfortunately for the crazed fans, there is not much going on in the world of college football this summer, specifically the last couple of days. That means recruiting nuts are primed to shine! For Syracuse, June was a solid recruiting month. Four commits announced in the final 10 days of the month. In reverse chronological order, the commits are as follow:
Bryce Cohoon, WR (6/29/22)
Bryce Cohoon is a freakishly athletic wide receiver from Kansas. He is a state champion track sprinter with intriguing size, standing at 6 foot 3 inches. Cohoon runs a blazing 10.57 second 100 meter dash.

Cohoon is unranked by 247Sports and is listed as a 2-star prospect by Rivals. Cohoon was recruited lightly by Division 1-A schools, holding offers from Air Force, Army, and UMass in addition to Syracuse. The raw tools here are enough to warrant interest. Once everything comes together, Cohoon has a chance to shine in Central New York.
Muwaffaq Parkman, RB (6/26/22)
Muwaffaq Parkman is a local-ish recruit, hailing from Hillside High School in New Jersey, a fertile recruiting ground. Parkman, like Cohoon, is also an accomplished track and field sprinter, qualifying for Nationals.
Literally just started track last spring accomplished so many things this season ,Qualified for indoor nationals & outdoors ,competed as a football player with the fastest kids in the state it's been a great season now it's time to focus on winning this ring 😈 @CoachBGGrant pic.twitter.com/jP4I9dpvyz

Parkman is listed as an athlete on both recruiting services. 247 has him unranked. Rivals ranks him as just a 2-star, but he is referenced as a running back by Twitter reports. Syracuse has had a run of success with New Jersey players, and hope to continue with Parkman in the near future.
Jalil Smith, DE (6/24/22)
Jalil Smith, an in-state defensive end from Brooklyn, became the fifth commit in the 2023 cycle just over a week ago. Smith had been a Syracuse target for nearly a year before committing last month. Smith’s recruitment had been picking up steam lately. he picked up offers from Temple and Bowling Green and visiting UConn before closing his recruitment and committing to Syracuse.
I am beyond proud and grateful to Announce I am 100% Committed to Syracuse University 🍊🧡 #OURHOU23 #ORANGE #JUICEDUP@oc_lincoln @CoachNJ_Monroe @CuseCoachTW @CuseFootball @Coach_HugginsJr pic.twitter.com/VgMJBeOi49

Smith is one of four in-state commits, a good sign for Syracuse moving forward.
Zyian Moultrie-Goddard, LB (6/22/22)
Zyian Moultrie-Goddard is a linebacker hailing from in-state powerhouse Iona Prep. He is a tantalizing prospect for Syracuse fans to dream on. Moultrie-Goddard boasted offers from Arizona State, Tennessee, and West Virginia among others. However, he ultimately chose Syracuse. Iona Prep has produced numerous Power 5 talents in the past decade, including former Orange defensive lineman Qaadir Sheppard.
Honored to announce I earned the Vincent O’Connor AAA Defensive Player of The Year award!!! pic.twitter.com/zeffviAgfU

Moultrie-Goddard was named Defensive Player of the Year in a loaded Catholic school league. Given the other Power 5 interest and Iona Prep pedigree, Moultrie-Goddard will enter Central New York with lofty expectations.
As it stands, Syracuse’s 2023 class is ranked 75th by 247Sports and 71st by Rivals.
