In a dramatic turn ahead of the Super Bowl, tech mogul Elon Musk has ignited a heated debate by criticizing the NFL’s decision to select Bad Bunny for the upcoming halftime show. The move has drawn polarized reactions across social media, with many fans backing Musk’s stance against what they describe as the league’s “woke” direction.

“I applaud Elon Musk for taking the high road. It’s unfortunate that the NFL has gone woke and hired a nasty performer to embarrass our country, sports, and greater than half of our citizens,” one user posted on X, echoing a growing sentiment among conservative fans.

Musk’s criticism follows weeks of controversy surrounding the NFL’s halftime performer selection, which many see as politically charged. The billionaire, whose companies reportedly spend over $40 million annually on advertising partnerships, hinted that he could reconsider future sponsorship deals if the league continues down an “ideological path.” His remarks instantly triggered a wave of public endorsements.

Supporters rallied behind Musk, framing his statement as a defense of traditional American entertainment values.

One user responded, “YES INDEED, ELON,” applauding his willingness to take a stand.

Another suggested Musk “should pull it and sponsor an all-American halftime show Turning Point is doing,” implying a patriotic alternative.

Others urged action beyond words. “Do it Elon Musk,” one fan demanded, encouraging him to make good on his threat.

Meanwhile, a separate comment warned the NFL of financial consequences, writing, “Hey NFL, this is HUGE  sponsors are not going to support this”

The backlash even extended into calls for boycotts. One user declared, “BOYCOTT EVERYTHING TIED TO THE NFL, MOST OF THE ENTERTAINMENT AND BUSINESS INDUSTRIES!!”

As the controversy gains traction, the NFL faces pressure from its corporate partners and traditionalist fans. With Musk’s influence and audience reach of over 190 million followers on X, his criticism has transformed what could have been a routine halftime show announcement into a high-stakes cultural flashpoint.

The league has yet to issue an official statement, but the online discourse suggests the fallout may linger well beyond the game day spectacle.
