SUPER BOWL SNACKS SPOILER: I’m not making crockpot weenies. No offense to those though because they really are so good. However, I know someone else will make those. Hopefully I’m not acting on a false assumption. Surely the universe wouldn’t put me in charge of such an important task.  I’m honestly just shocked that I’m not making a charcuterie board.

Here are the Super Bowl snacks that me and one of my BFFs will be making, even though no one asked.

    1.  BLT pasta salad
I follow this recipe pretty closely. I add mayonnaise and a green onion. I also include a little bit of the bacon grease. This is something I’ve made several times now and we have rarely had leftovers. If you know me, you’re probably rolling your eyes because you’re tired of hearing about it and I’m so sorry.

    1. Bacon-chicken ring
I grew up with my mom making this and it was always a hit. She suggests that you brush the top with egg white before baking. This belongs on the list of any excuse snacks, not just Super Bowl snacks.

    2. Mexican street corn dip
When I think of Super Bowl snacks, my mind always goes to dips. This is something a little different to add some variety to the dip table. My friend follows this recipe.

    3. Red velvet cookies
“Red velvet is just red chocolate.” Shut up. We don’t care. There’s a bunch of recipes online but cookie making is a personal style of art. I feel like you could follow the same exact recipe three times in a row, and they would turn out different every time. But these are simple and are always going to be good.

    4. The Best Brownies
I am a true advocate for box brownies. Homemade recipes that I had tried in the past didn’t leave me glad I didn’t just buy the mix. But this one just hits different. I use canola oil and milk chocolate chips in this recipe.

Let me know what Super Bowl snacks you’re making because I am genuinely interested.
