    There were some great performances in the SBC last week. Here is a look at the leaders in the Sun Belt Conference in Week One.

    Sun Belt Conference Leaders-Week One

    Passing Leaders

    Kyle Vantrease-Georgia Southern: 29 of 46 (63%) for 367 yards, four touchdowns, and 1 INT in 59-7 win over Morgan State. Vantrease is ranked #8 nationally.

    Chase Brice-Appalachian State: 25 of 36 (69%) for 361 yards, six touchdowns, and 1 INT in 63-62 loss to North Carolina. Brice is ranked #11 in the FBS.

    Todd Centerio-James Madison: 21 of 33 (63%) for 287 yards, 6 TDs, and no INTs in win over Middle Tennessee State.

    Rushing Leaders

    Frank Gore, Jr.-Southern Miss: #2 nationally, Gore rushed for 178 yards and 2 TDs vs Liberty. He averaged 5.56-yards per rush.

    Reese White-Coastal Carolina: rushed for 124 yards (6.33-yard average) and a touchdown in a win over Army.

    Johnnie Lang-Arkansas State: Lang rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown in the win over Grambling.

    Nate Noel-Appalachian State: rushed for 116 yards and 2 TDs in loss to North Carolina.

    Ethan Payne-Marshall: rushed for 113 yards and 2 TDs (11.30-yard average) in win over Norfolk St.

    Todd Centerio-James Madison: carried 14 times for 110 yards in the win over Mid. Tenn. State.

    Khalan Laborn-Marshall: Laborn rushed for 102 yards and 2 TDs (8.5-yard average) in the win over Norfolk St.

    Receiving Leaders

    Kris Thornton-James Madison: 12 catches, 155 yards, and 3 TDs in 44-7 win over Middle Tennessee State. Thornton is ranked #8 nationally.

    Champ Flemings-Arkansas State: Seven catches, 122 yards, and 1 touchdown in a win over Grambling. He ranks #15 nationally.

    Ali Jennings III-Old Dominion: Five catches for 122 yards in the upset win over Va. Tech. It was the Monarchs’ second victory over the Hokies in four years. He is currently tied for 15th nationally.

    Interceptions

    Quavian White-Georgia State: 2 interceptions of Spencer Rattler passes in 35-14 loss to the Gamecocks. White currently leads the Sun Belt and ranks #2 nationally.

    Eric Scott Jr.-Southern Miss: Ranked #2 in the SBC, Scott intercepted a pass against Liberty and returned it for a 22-yard touchdown.

    Special Teams

    Eric Garror-Louisiana: Garror returned four punts for 95 yards (23.75-yard average), including one for a touchdown. He leads the Sun Belt in punt returns and ranks #3 nationally.

    Tackles

    Jason Henderson-Old Dominion: racked up 18 tackles in the upset of Va. Tech.

    Malik Shorts-Southern Miss: totaled 12 tackles in the 29-27 3 OT loss to Liberty.

    Carlton Martial-Troy: recorded 11 tackles in a loss to Ole Miss.

    Sun Belt Leaders-Talented Football Players

    This league has talented football players from top to bottom at every position. Week 2 should be more of the same top performances.
