It is hard to believe that someone like AJ Brown called his situation a “shit-show.”

The Philadelphia Eagles star didn’t hold back during a Tuesday night Twitch stream with JankyRondo. But his admission didn’t shock the majority of the football community because his numbers pale next to his All-Pro standards.

Brown did help Eagles beat Green Bay 10-7 on Monday Night Football, but that is half of the story. His two catches for 13 yards told the real story. The 28-year-old has posted just 31 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns through eight games.
When asked if everything was good during the Twitch stream, Brown responded, “No. Where have you been? Family’s good. Everything else, no. It’s a shit-show. You on some, ‘How you been?’ Struggling, brother.”

Brown didn’t stop at one comment. He threw himself the ball in Madden and said, “Good things happen when you get touches.” After scoring a TD with his virtual self, Brown added, “This the only positive I got.”
Later in the stream, Brown looked at his Madden stats — nine catches, 168 yards, two touchdowns — and said, “That’s the only highlights of damn football I been living right now.” The virtual success highlighted his real-world frustration.
The head coach Nick Sirianni explained that certain plays designed for Brown got taken away by defenses. DeVonta Smith’s touchdown against the Packers was originally drawn up for Brown, but the defense took it away and Jalen Hurts threw it over the top to Smith instead.
But by Wednesday’s press conference, Sirianni’s patience wore thin. “I’m close to being done answering these questions with this,” he said. “He’s working hard and he is a big part of this game plan and will be a big part of the game plan going forward.”
AJ Brown isn’t playing as well as he did in the past three seasons. He’s only getting 51 yards per game — the lowest of his career. The Eagles now focus more on running the ball with Saquon Barkley, which means Brown isn’t getting as many chances to shine.
AJ Brown Offers Brutal Fantasy Football Advice to Managers
Brown had a message for fantasy owners during the stream.
“If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me,” Brown said, expressing frustration over his poor season stats.

Fantasy managers who drafted him as a top-10 receiver have watched his production collapse. He’s on pace for under 900 receiving yards, which is his lowest mark since joining the Eagles. The three-time Pro Bowler has been held under 30 receiving yards in four games this season.
The Eagles kept Brown at the November 4 trade deadline despite speculation they might move him. GM Howie Roseman said that “teams trying to win championships don’t trade away talents like A.J. Brown.”
He signed a three-year, $96 million extension in 2024 that keeps him under contract through 2029. But his public frustrations suggest the marriage might not last. The disconnect between Brown’s talent and usage has created significant tension ahead of the prime-time clash with the Detroit Lions.
