The Tennessee Titans had a 2024 regular season to forget by having a 3-14 record. Despite the issues mainly on offense, the Titans defense was still not bad thanks to defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons.

Simmons is one of the top five defensive tackles in the NFL. At just 27 years old, he is one of the cornerstone pieces for Tennessee’s defense. The other starters on the defensive line for Tennessee is Sebastian Joseph-Day and T’Vondre Sweat. Is Simmons starting to slow down already or is he still elite amongst the defensive tackle position?
Tennessee Titans Defensive Tackle Jeffrey Simmons Gets Interesting Reviews From People Across the League

Many different coaches, executives, and scouts across the league talked to ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler about the Top 10 defensive tackles in the NFL. Simmons is ranked as the fourth best defensive tackle in the NFL and is ranked in the Top 5 amongst his position. However, an NFC Executive said about Simmons,
“Still dominant vs. the run — I didn’t see the same pass-rush explosion.”
Simmons did have 76 tackles last season with Tennessee, but he only had five sacks. Simmons also had two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four pass deflections. Hopefully, the Titans defense won’t be as tired during the 2025 NFL season as it was during the 2024 season. He will need to have more sacks in 2025 if Tennessee wants to win more games.
