In a week, Texas will face Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, and the winner will play for the college football national championship. People are already saying the Longhorns have no chance of winning the game.
Texas has had an up-and-down season and lost the two biggest games on their schedule, both to Georgia and should’ve lost to Arizona State, but got help from the officials.
Texas Is A Heavy Underdog
Ohio State has been the best team in college football over the last two games, beating Tennessee 42-17 and then heading to the Rose Bowl and taking care of number one-seeded Oregon 41-21.
The Buckeyes are clicking on both sides of the ball, but Texas is just as good as them if they can figure some things out; most sportsbooks have Ohio State as a six-point favorite in this matchup.
Ohio State has been favored in the last two playoff games and has covered both times, and now they are trying to do the same against the Longhorns.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke to the media on Friday and stated,” Clearly, we’re massive underdogs. Nobody’s gonna give us a shot.”

Ohio State might look unstoppable at the moment, but this is the same team that only scored 10 points and lost to a mediocre Michigan team about six weeks ago, so anything is possible.
Texas should feel great about the position they are in because everyone is picking the Buckeyes to win, and when that happens, that usually means Ryan Day will do something to lose the game.
The Longhorns should be just fine in this one, and there is a great chance they will come out on top and win their first title in over two decades.
