IN a recent episode of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock got honest about what he thinks is the real deal behind Stefon Diggs going into a relationship with Cardi B. For the analyst, this is nothing more than an attempt to build a brand as he starts to move away from professional football.
“It’s all just a flex in terms of even sharing, hey, I’m paying this much,” Whitlock said, talking about the reportedly excessive spending of Cardi B on her kids. “She’s been convinced because she’s a low-IQ person. It hasn’t been developed very well. The more money you spend on your kids, the better a parent you are.”
“But for Stefan Diggs, I believe this is a brand play for him,” he added. “This is him moving on to the next career after football. This is him positioning himself to be a podcaster, to be an NFL broadcaster. It’s just a brand play, and actually it’s probably a wise one.”
“He’s connected himself to some degenerate rapper that gets a lot of attention, and it elevates Stefan Diggs into a bigger star because he’s a nice little receiver, but he’s no name brand. He’s not Michael Irvin. He’s not any of these all-time. He’s not Terrell Owens. But by dating Cardi B or pretending to date Cardi B and you know to be the stepdaddy, it’s a great brand play for Stefan Diggs.”

Stefon Diggs’ romance with Cardi B has drawn significant attention, leading to unexpected reactions from her estranged husband, Offset. Cardi B officially confirmed her relationship with Diggs by sharing photos of them together on a yacht, as well as wearing the same fur coat Diggs sported at the Met Gala.
