The Steelers loss to the Browns on Thursday night showed major struggles on all sides of the team. When watching the game in the first half, both the Steelers and Browns started very slow. After a few punts, things started to slowly pick up as Najee Harris scored a touchdown, followed by Amari Cooper’s touchdown. Mitch Trubisky responded with a run of his own for a touchdown. David Njoko, as wide open as the Steelers defense made him, scored a touchdown also in the game. Then halftime was upon us, but only one team showed up afterwards.
The Steeler’s had cold feet entering the 2nd half

For some strange reason, the Steelers never came out of the locker room. In their opening possession, nothing happened. In no shock, in the next three possessions the Steelers had, they went three-and-out. The Steelers couldn’t stop the run as they would normally do as they let Nick Chubb run for over 100 yards on the ground. Towards the end of the game, the Steelers allowed Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt run the clock out.
What do the fans think?
I decided on taking an approach I’ve never done before: ask fans on Facebook what they think the problem is the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’ve gathered up the top three issues that fans commented about why they aren’t happy with Pittsburgh. Let me just say, there was quite the turnout.
Opinion #1- Fire Offensive coordinator Matt Canada

A fan mentioned how the Steelers offensive is quite predictable, which I can agree with. A main issue with the play-calling is that nothing is being called in the middle of the field. Pat Freiermuth, who wasn’t targeted all game, caught two passes in the middle. Freiermuth should’ve been more involved in this game as injuries piled up for the Browns. If they a start drawing plays that can attack the middle of a defense, things may improve for this offense.
Opinion #2- The defense is great when the offense does great

The defense is playing better than the offense at this point. The defense will get stops and potential turnovers, but the offense won’t capitalize and turn it into points. Penalties and loss of yards is pulling the Steelers back from reaching the end-zone. When they can’t put up points, the defense will have to give it another go at trying to make it easier for the offense to score.
Opinion #3- Fire Mike Tomlin + Bench Mitch Trubisky

It was a common theme amongst all the Steeler’s groups that I’m in that has made these statements. Who can blame them? The plays on the field seem to predictable, and throws are only going on the left and right sidelines. Both Tomlin and Trubisky need to work together if they want to get this offense back to it’s winning ways.
I know it’s early, but Steelers fans are not happy, so this team needs to work together eliminate problems they have now rather than later.

Still early in the season to bench the quarterback, but to fire coach is crazzzyyyyyy. They need to build some momentum and build that rhythm, they’ll eventually get something going.
