This week is a killer in terms of teams on bye weeks. That does not mean we cannot find value! Here are my list of starts for week 7 in fantasy football.
Kenneth Walker III RB Seattle Seahawks

At the beginning of the season, Walker was not getting many touches. Then Rashaad Penny went down with an injury. Since then, there is no question that Walker is the feature back and why he makes the list of starts for week 7 in fantasy football. In the past 2 games, he is averaging 92.5 yards and a touchdown. In a year where running back numbers are down, this is pretty good. Their opponent, the Chargers, haven’t solved their run problems from last year. Expect Walker to have a big day on Sunday.
Dak Prescott QB Dallas Cowboys

This is assuming he plays but all indications point towards Prescott starting this Sunday against the Lions. You could not ask for a better matchup to come back on which is why he makes my list of starts for week 7 in fantasy football. The Lions are bottom of the league in a lot of defensive categories. However, their offense is high scoring meaning this game has a chance to be a shootout. This will create lots of opportunities for Dak to spread the ball around. Michael Gallup is also back in the lineup giving Prescott a legitimate deep threat. Dak’s mobility also gives him an edge as he could pick up a rushing touchdown. With Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen on a bye, Dak Prescott is worth a look.
Allen Lazard WR Green Bay Packers

The Packers offense is not good right now. Believe me, I am a Packers fan and I have watched a lot of terrible football this season. However, Allen Lazard has been awesome and makes the list for starts for week 7 in fantasy football. Go look up highlight videos of this year. He has some really tough catches in big spots. He is the one receiver that Aaron Rodgers trusts so he gets a lot of targets. He missed week 1 but in every game that he has played, he has scored a touchdown. If there was a game to get back on track, it is one against the Commanders. I don’t feel good about starting any other Packer but Lazard is a safe bet.
Marcus Mariota QB Atlanta Falcons

I’ll admit, this one is a little bit of a risker pick but not the greatest risk. Mariota is not going to post huge numbers but like Prescott, the threat of rushing touchdowns puts him on the list of starts for week 7 in fantasy football. Last week, he rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown while throwing for 2 more. While he didn’t have high yardage, the 3 TDs makes his day look better from a fantasy perspective. The Bengals gave up over 200 yards to the Saint on Sunday. Expect the Falcons to have a monster rushing attack.
Travis Etienne Jr. RB Jacksonville Jaguars

This is another player who is trending upward. In weeks 1-3 he was averaging just over 32 rushing yards a game. In weeks 4-5, he is averaging 78.5 yards. His receiving numbers have stayed steady. His touches have not gone up significantly but he is doing more with them. His threat in the passing game puts him on the list of starts for week 7 in fantasy football. In PPR leagues especially, the value of running backs that can pass catch is higher. Start Etienne Jr. with confidence.
That’s my list for starts for week 7 of fantasy football. I found myself actually liking more matchups this week than I did last week. The bye weeks are a killer but this is where you show you skill as a fantasy football manager.
