Week 12 is behind us. The fantasy playoffs are on the horizon! (Or they are here depending on your league) This week looks like a fun one! Here is my list of starts for week 13 in fantasy football.
Anyone In The Chargers vs. Raiders
Both of these defenses stink. The Raiders find themselves in a shootout seemingly every week. The Chargers on paper look like they should have a dominant defense. They do not. Teams have had no trouble moving the ball against them. Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler are great starts for week 13 for the Chargers. I have no clue who is going to play receiver but start them too. Derek Carr and Davante Adams should have a big day and Josh Jacobs should find success too. Any offensive player in this game is a good start.
Amon-Ra St. Brown WR Detroit Lions
Jared Goff has a favorite target. It is Amon-Ra St. Brown which is why he is on my list of starts for week 13. He consistently gets double-digit targets and is the favorite on third down. What makes St. Brown such a safe play is the fact he is not touchdown-dependent. Because of his high volume, his points in a PPR league mostly come from receptions and yards. The Jaguars’ defense also is not scary so you should feel safe starting St. Brown.
George Pickens WR Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have been a fantasy disappointment this season. The running game has been struggling and with Kenny Pickett at the helm, the passing game is going through some growing pains. However, one thing is clear. Pickett loves George Pickens which is why I have him on my list of starts for week 13. Pickett targets Pickens a lot, especially in high-pressure downs. The Steelers play the Falcons this week which should give Pickens plenty of opportunities. While I wouldn’t expect Pickens to win you the week, he definitely won’t lose it.
Ja’Marr Chase WR Cincinnati Bengals

The Chiefs vs. Bengals game is another one that you pretty much can start anyone, especially in the passing game. However, I want to highlight Ja’Marr Chase on my list of starts for week 13. I think this game is going to be a shootout. The passing games are going to find a lot of success against decent but not great secondaries. I wanted to highlight Chase because I think Joe Burrow is going to target him a lot. This is his first game back and Burrow will want to establish Chase back into the offense. Start Chase this week with confidence.
David Montgomery RB Chicago Bears

If you watched the Sunday night game between the Packers and Eagles last week, you can stop reading. You know why Montgomery is on my list of starts for week 13. The Packers’ run defense gave up a historic amount of rushing yards. While the Bears’ offense is not the Eagles’ offense, they do run the ball well. If Justin Fields is out, I expect them to run the ball even more. With Khalil Herbert gone for the season, Montgomery is the feature back. He will get a heavy workload and have no trouble finding holes to run through.
That is my list of starts for week 13 in fantasy football. This week has a lot of favorable matchups. Good luck to anyone needing a win to sneak into the playoffs!
