The Seattle Seahawks had a 13-3 lead at halftime against the Los Angeles Rams and it appeared as if Seattle was going to bury Los Angeles into the NFC West basement. However, Geno Smith had a second half with careless turnovers, which would come back to bite the Seahawks.

With the game tied at 20 in overtime, Matthew Stafford threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson from 39 yards out to give the Rams a 26-20 win over the Seahawks. Stafford outplayed Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith in the second half.

Seahawks Fans Want Geno Smith Benched For Sam Howell

With the Seahawks dropping to 4-5 on the season and the Rams improving to 4-4 on the season, Seattle fans want head coach Mike MacDonald to bench Geno Smith and start Sam Howell in the next game. This is what the Seattle Seahawks fanbase had to say:
Start Sam Howell next week, Geno throwing 2 picks in the red zone is so trash 🗑️ man
— StateFarm206 (@statefarm_206) November 4, 2024
Geno needs pen & paper immediately
— Antwon (@AntwonTX) November 4, 2024
As much as I know this is pointless.. but start Sam .. Geno can’t get out of his own way ..
— grumpy electrician ⚡ (@96convt) November 4, 2024
Can’t wait for the day Geno smith is not the starting QB on this team
— Cameron (@Gunny_VAL) November 4, 2024
Time to bench Geno. This dysfunctional offense is excruciating to watch. Let’s see what we got in Sam and commit to a complete rebuild.
— Noah Gray (@forsja27) November 4, 2024
At some point, the Seahawks may decide to bench Geno Smith for Sam Howell depending on how the rest of the regular season goes. Seattle will not do it only because they are only back one game of the Arizona Cardinals (5-4) for first place in the NFC West.
