Not everyone can be a champion at what they do, as is the nature of sports. Even fewer can claim that they won a championship this year.
However, there is an even more exclusive club than winning one of this year’s championships, someone who wins multiple titles in a given year.
One man can join that club following the Colorado Avalanche’s series-clinching win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday. Stan Kroenke.
Most may recognize Kroenke as the owner of the Los Angeles Rams; however, he is also the owner of the Avalanche.
Following the Stanley Cup-clinching win on Sunday, Kroenke has joined this illustrious club of multiple championships in a calendar year.

In addition to winning the Cup and the Lombardi trophy, Kroenke owns the National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth.
The Mammoth, similarly to the Rams and Avalanche, won its league’s championship.
That makes Kroenke the proud owner of three 2022 championship-winning teams, a feat that might never be repeated.
Kroenke will start his championship defenses with the Rams as the NFL season kicks off on Sept. 8.
