The Tennessee Titans lost to the Las Vegas Raiders by a final score of 20-10 on Sunday. Tennessee dropped to 1-5 on the season and Las Vegas improved to 2-4.
The Titans have looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL over the last two seasons with Brian Callahan as the head coach. This came after Tennessee decided to fire head coach Mike Vrabel after the 2023 NFL season. Vrabel was not a head coach in 2024, but he is the head coach of the New England Patriots in 2025. Callahan has a 4-19 record in just 23 games as Titans head coach.
Tennessee Titans Fans Relieved Of Brian Callahan Being Fired As Head Coach
It was an interesting surprise that Callahan was the first head coach who was fired during the 2025 NFL season. There has been a lot of dysfunction with the Titans organization over the last several seasons. This is what some Tennessee fans had to say about Callahan being fired already as head coach:

The Titans (specifically Amy Adams Strunk) fired Mike Vrabel just to turn around and fire his replacement 23 games later. This franchise is a joke.

It’s starting to look like the Titans are stuck in a constant rebuild cycle — no continuity, no clear long-term plan. Moves like this can really set a franchise back because players, scouts, and staff lose trust in the process.

One coach that the Titans should potentially look at to help quarterback Cam Ward for the future is Mike McCarthy or Jon Gruden. Tennessee was just good a few seasons ago. Trading away wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles changed the Titans franchise forever.
In order for them to change things around in the future, the front office needs to draft better. They also need a better head coach to replace Callahan for the long haul. What makes things even worse for Tennessee is that Vrabel and the New England Patriots come to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend to take on the Titans.
