Shilo Sanders Calls Out Deion as “Cheapest” Dad in Wild Debate with Shareef O’Neal

Shilo Sanders didn’t hold back at ComplexCon when asked whose dad was the “cheapest” between him and Shareef O’Neal. The answer came fast and without hesitation. Coach Prime got called out by his own son in front of a crowd that couldn’t stop laughing.

Shilo explained that growing up with a famous father didn’t mean luxury sneakers or designer gear. “I wasn’t even thinking about no Jordans growing up,” he said. “It was straight Under Armour, bro. Cause it was free. Cause it was free.” The crowd ate it up as Shilo shared stories about life in the Sanders household.

The timing of the debate was fitting for both sons of legends. Shilo went undrafted in 2025 and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the preseason but was released after being ejected for punching Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson.

Now without a team, he’s focused on content creation and keeping fans laughing with his honest takes.

When it came to food, Shilo said their go-to spots were Red Lobster and Golden Corral. At the event, he joked about the brand Wasted Talent, saying, “I would look good in this stuff. I have a lot of wasted talent.”

The humor showed him staying positive while searching for his next football opportunity.

Shareef O’Neal stood next to Shilo, probably thinking about his own dad’s lifestyle. Shaq is famous for doing everything on a grand scale, from generosity to spending.

That made Deion’s strict and frugal approach stand out even more. What began as a light moment turned into how two legends taught their kids very different lessons.

Football Fans Sound Off on the Viral Debate

Fans didn’t hold back when debating which dad has the better parenting style.

One fan wrote, “The real debate is about legacy, not just dollars. Deion’s teaching grit and discipline, while Shaq’s got that larger-than-life energy. What’s the price of that influence?”

Another joked, “Shareef just ordered a Benz with no questions asked. I think he should sit this one out 🤣.”

A third added, “Red Lobster endless shrimp and Golden Corral are five-star restaurants. Ungrateful shits.”

And one more chimed in, “Nepo babies! Hell yea!!!”

The internet hasn’t stopped talking since. Fans are split between Deion’s tough-love approach and Shaq’s easy-going generosity. But one thing’s clear. In Shilo’s book, Coach Prime still holds the title of Cheapest Dad Alive.
