Sherrone Moore got the call to be the head coach of Michigan this winter after being the offensive coordinator and turning the Wolverine’s offense into one of the best in the country.
When former head coach Jim Harbaugh left for the NFL this January, Michigan didn’t think twice about who to hire, and Moore got the chance to lead the team.
Last season, Moore served as the interim head coach when Harbaugh was suspended for the last three regular-season Big Ten games for illegally stealing opponents’ signs.
The Wolverines went perfect in those three games under Sherrone Moore, including wins against Penn State and Ohio State, so he wasn’t playing any cupcakes. Now Moore gets the team to himself, and he doesn’t have the easiest road this upcoming season.
Three major games stand out for Michigan this year: a non-conference home game against Texas in Week Two, a home game against a new Big Ten opponent, Oregon, and going on the road at Ohio State.
All three of those teams have a chance to win the national championship this season, and when the preseason AP Top 25 comes out next month, they all might be ranked inside the Top Five. One media analyst doesn’t think Michigan has a chance against either of those teams this season.
Heather Dinich Predicts Michigan To Lose Three Games In Sherrone Moore’s First Season
ESPN’s Heather Dinich has Sherrone Moore losing to Texas, Ohio State, and Oregon this season and was on ESPN’s morning show Get Up on Tuesday and stated,’ When I look at this team, I see three losses Greeny: at home against Texas, at home against Oregon, and as we just talked about against the Buckeyes.’
Heather Dinich predicts Michigan loses 3 games in Sherrone Moore’s inaugural season:
“When I look at this team, I see 3 losses Greeny: at home against Texas, at home against Oregon, and as we just talked about against the Buckeyes.”

There is no reason to believe that Moore will be able to win significant games as the head coach. Even though he did beat Penn State and Ohio State last season, Harbaugh was still allowed to coach and put a game plan together during the week, so he wasn’t all alone; now he will be, and he is going to have to prove to everyone that he can win the big game all by himself.
Michigan will have a great season, and if they can somehow win against Texas, Oregon, or Ohio State, they will most likely be in the new 12-team college football playoff.
