Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders attempted to improve his draft stock on Friday when he threw during Colorado’s showcase event. The pro day-style event allowed Buffaloes draft hopefuls, including Travis Hunter, Shilo Sanders, and Shedeur to meet with NFL executives and scouts before April’s draft.
Shedeur looked impressive during his throwing opportunity, showing off his deep ball skills. However, the expected first-round pick threw a couple of wobblers to Colorado pass catchers.
One of the more likely destinations for Shedeur in the 2025 draft decided they saw enough of the 23-year-old signal caller after Friday’s workout.
The Tennessee Titans canceled a private workout

Per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessee Titans, Tennessee’s front office met with Shedeur’s camp and agreed to cancel a private workout they had previously scheduled.
“After yesterday’s Colorado Pro Day, Titans brass met with Shedeur Sanders’ camp, and the parties have agreed to cancel the upcoming private workout,” Wyatt posted on X. “The Titans have seen 4 years of game film, scouted multiple games, and now attended a Pro Day they described as very impressive.”

The Titans appeared to like what they saw from Shedeur on Friday, with general manager Mike Borgonzi saying that he threw the football well during the special event.
“Shedeur threw the ball well, and we got to see him out there with Travis,” Borgonzi said via the Titans’ website. “And Travis, everything you see on film — he is one of the twitchiest athletes I’ve ever seen. He’s impressive. It was good to see Shedeur go through the whole workout, and the two-minute drill after.
It just confirms a lot of stuff you saw on tape — he can drive the deep ball, you saw that here today. So, it was a really good workout.”
The Titans appear to be headed toward taking Cam Ward

The Titans have plenty of tape they can watch on Shedeur, who played two years at Jackson State before transferring to Colorado in 2023. During his four-year college career, he went 1,263-of-1,803 passing for 14,327 yards, 134 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. He added 17 touchdowns on the ground.
The Titans own the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Frankly, it appears that Tennessee doesn’t plan on drafting Sheduer after canceling the private workout. The decision saves time and effort for both parties. It wouldn’t make sense for the Titans to cancel the private workout and a chance to better get acquainted with Sheduer if they planned to invest millions by making him the No. 1 pick.
Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward is expected to be the first quarterback taken in the draft, and he’ll likely be the Titans’ Pick unless the front office goes for a promising defender like defensive end Abdul Carter.
