Shedeur Sanders has seen his NFL career get off to a different kind of start than he might have envisioned. However, Cleveland clearly doesn’t regret taking the projected first round quarterback in the fifth. He has exceeded expectations thus far and is putting his name on the map.
However, the 23-year-old is learning of some troubling injury news.
Breaking: Shedeur Sanders Suffers Devastating Injury (Report)

Two of the Cleveland Browns’ four quarterbacks have been injured so far during training camp. As for Shedeur Sanders, he has been suffering from a shoulder injury, while Kenny Pickett has been hurting his hamstring:
Those two injuries left Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel as the two fully healthy quarterbacks in the competition.
With all four quarterbacks competing for the Week 1 starting job, missing any amount of time can be extremely harmful to a players chances. For Sanders, he can’t afford to miss time at this stage of his career.
Keeping that in mind, the rookie signal caller has spoken out with an update on his shoulder injury.
After returning to practice on Monday, Sanders was asked about his health. He opened up honestly about the injury.
“I’m well. I’m back at practice today, so I’m thankful,” Sanders said.

He also revealed that arm soreness is not something new that he’s dealing with.
“Yeah, in college, it was often,” Sanders said. “It’s just adjusting to starting and stopping, honestly. That’s all it truly is. Sometimes you go in hot. Then, you’ll wait for a second and then get cold. Then, get back hot and then get cold. My arm and body wasn’t used to that. It’s just an adjustment within my body, within my arm.”
In addition to talking about his injury status, Sanders spoke out about the quarterback competition. He knows how valuable each and every rep is for him.
“I think every rep I get in general is valuable,” Sanders said. “We’re definitely taking things up a notch I would say with everything. Every rep. Anytime I step on the field, I take it like it could be my last. You don’t know. There were players we were practicing with last week that’s not here no more. It’s more about a bond. It’s more about going all out. It’s more about how you’ll be remembered.”

Sanders is saying all the right things. Whether or not he will be able to work his way onto the field this season or not remains to be seen.
He will also need to earn his spot on the final 53-man roster. The Browns may choose to move on from one of their four quarterbacks before the start of their season.
At this point, there is no telling what the 2025 season has in store for Sanders. He could end up being a starter at some point, he could sit on the bench, or he could get traded. It’s up to him to earn his spot and force his way into playing time.
