Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns quarterback, has managed to not only impress people with his on-field talent, but also make news for all the wrong reasons ever since he was drafted by the team. Last month, the youngest son of Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders managed to get two speeding tickets, which drew plenty of condemnation from both fans and analysts.

In the second of the ongoing training camp, Browns general manager, Andrew Berry, addressed Sanders’ speeding tickets, slamming the rookie quarterback for the same. Berry highlighted that the speeding tickets does not only refer to Sanders’ own recklessness, but also his attitude of putting other peoples’ lives in danger.
“Not smart, just not smart. He understands the implications, he understands the consequences. I think the thing is it’s not just about yourself. It’s not just about having a joy ride. It’s not just about driving a car really fast, but it’s about the fact that you can endanger other people.” Cleveland Browns general manager, Andrew Berry, spoke to reporters about Shedeur Sanders’ speeding tickets.

Shedeur Sanders did directly address the speeding tickets, admitting that he definitely did something wrong but also managed to learn from the incidents. Meanwhile, it seems like Sanders has been having a pretty interesting time at the training camp with the Cleveland Browns. The rookie quarterback is not only working on his deficits, but also seems to be impressing people at the same time with his immense talents.
Shedeur Sanders May Not Start For Browns Yet According To Insider
In other news, Shedeur Sanders’ starting quarterback dreams may definitely take more than a while to come true, according to recent reports from team insider, Tony Grossi. Grossi recently revealed that the Cleveland Browns don’t look so eager to play Sanders immediately as their starting quarterback, and that the team will most probably wait a while until the quarterback shows a full-rounded development.

According to Grossi, the Browns are looking at Shedeur Sanders as a long-term investment and not necessarily a starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Sanders also has a strong competitor in Dillon Gabriel, who was also bagged in the 2025 NFL draft.
Grossi remarked that the Browns will wait to see which of the two, between Sanders and Gabriel, perform better and will hand over the QB1 reins to them. As of now, it definitely looks like the Cleveland Browns will be going with veteran Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett as quarterbacks for the 2025 NFL campaign.
