Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns’ rookie quarterback preseason performance analyzed by sports pundits everywhere. While the rookie did impress in the preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers, Sanders was unable to prove himself in the finale against the Los Angeles Rams over the weekend.
Sanders definitely has the ability and talent to pull off an impressive performance, but the young quarterback was extracted from the game by head coach Kevin Stefanski before the crucial final moments. Since the preseason finale, many analysts have been calling out Stefanski for not giving young Sanders the opportunities he deserves. Former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III shared a tweet about this, giving his own unique take on the matter.

“Shedeur Sanders was never given equal opportunity to compete with Dillon Gabriel and the Browns showed us that throughout training camp and preseason. If it was a real competition, Dillon and Shedeur would have played with the same talent around them in the last game.” Former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III tweeted from his X account about Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns.

With Kenny Pickett being traded away and Tyler Huntley being released on Sunday, Shedeur Sanders’ spot in the Cleveland Browns roster has been boosted up a couple of spots. However, Sanders is still not the backup QB to veteran Joe Flacco. That honor will go to rookie Dillon Gabriel as per recent reports.
Shedeur Sanders’ Brother Shares Cryptic Post On X Account
Shedeur Sanders’ limited playing time in the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams has been discussed heavily in the last couple of days. Sanders also got the support of his older brother, Deion Sanders Jr. who shared a cryptic message on his X account.

“Let my enemies be overthrown by the very wickedness they planned for me. Psalms 140:9” Deion Sanders Jr. wrote through his X account.
While Deion Sanders Jr.’s post may not have directly mentioned Shedeur Sanders or the Cleveland Browns, it is understood that the Bible verse may have something to do with the situation. Many have expressed that Shedeur Sanders did not get the chances he deserves when compared to Dillon Gabriel.
Dillon Gabriel got way more playing time in the preseason when compared to Shedeur Sanders. In his preseason debut, Gabriel failed to put up a single score, but managed a solo touchdown in the finale. Meanwhile, Sanders managed two touchdowns for the Browns in the preseason opener against the Panthers.
