Shedeur Sanders, former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, has chosen to turn a deaf ear to those who call him brash and arrogant. Even before the talented quarterback demonstrated his prowess in the Colorado Pro Day, several NFL scouts and analysts have criticized Sanders for his attitude.
It is true that Sanders has always been highly confident of his skills on the field, but has also matched his performance in accordance with his attitude. In his senior year with the Buffaloes, quarterback Sanders threw for a total of 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns while managing ten interceptions for the team.
“I don’t care.” Shedeur Sanders responded to haters calling him arrogant and brash, according to a clip shared by the ‘Up & Adams’ podcast on their X account.
Shedeur Sanders split his college football career between the Jackson State Tigers and the Colorado Buffaloes, following his father, Deion Sanders who coached both the teams. With his incredible performance on the field, Sanders is expected to be one of the top names in the 2025 NFL draft, which is right around the corner.
While Sanders is expected to do great things in the NFL, no matter what team he is drafted into, the label of his ‘arrogance’ has apparently led to his position in the draft plummeting. Sanders was initially predicted to be somewhere in the top positions of the first round of the draft. However, according to recent reports, it looks like his name will crop up somewhere in the second round.

Shedeur Sanders Defended By Colorado Teammate, Travis Hunter
Along with Shedeur Sanders, his Colorado teammate, Travis Hunter is also expected to be a big name in the upcoming draft. Just like Sanders, Hunter played for Jackson State and Colorado, managing to be coached by Deion Sanders himself. While Sanders played as a quarterback, Hunter was a wide receiver/cornerback.

In his latest interview with Sports Illustrated, Travis Hunter came to the defense of Shedeur Sanders. Hunter was asked his opinion on various teams and scouts hating on Sanders. To this, Hunter reiterated that teams that do not choose Sanders will be making a huge mistake.

Hunter expects both he and Sanders to do plenty for whichever team they end up playing for. While Sanders’ position in the draft is still a question mark, Travis Hunter is expected to be among the top three options. Hunter also has a condition that he will only play for the team which allows him to pursue both the roles of a wide receiver as well as a cornerback.
