Shedeur Sanders’ long-time cheerleader, Skip Bayless, recently condemned Tom Brady for apparently influencing the Las Vegas Raiders to not select him in the 2025 NFL Draft. Sanders was expected to be a top prospect in the draft, but sadly was pushed to the fifth round only to be selected by the Cleveland Browns as the 144th pick.
On Monday, Skip Bayless criticized Tom Brady for apparently lying that John Spytek, general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, did not ask him his opinion on Shedeur Sanders during the pre-draft process. Brady cited this in one of his recent interviews, giving this as a reason as to why he could not push the Raiders more in order to bring in Sanders.
“So, Tom Brady wants us to believe his good friend Spytek, who also was an executive with the Buccaneers when Tom won the Super Bowl down in Tampa, that the GM of the Raiders wouldn’t ask him, as a Raiders owner, one thing about Shedeur? Come on, Nobody knew more about Shedeur than you did, Tom. You spent so much time around the kid, and let’s just face up to it, you obviously vetoed that kid to Spytek. I mean the Raiders passed on Shedeur seven times before Cleveland owner Jimmy Haslam overruled his executives, and his coaches, and took Shedeur in the fifth round.” Skip Bayless condemned Tom Brady for not standing up for Shedeur Sanders in a recent episode of ‘The Skip Bayless Show’.
Shedeur Sanders, the youngest son of Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders, found the draft process pretty disappointing after his name was not called out in the first few rounds. Many NFL analysts and scouts expected Sanders’ draft stock to drop as a result of his ‘arrogant’ and ‘brash’ attitude during his pre-draft process.

Shedeur Sanders Made A Terrible Impression Before The Draft
Shedeur Sanders’ attitude and personality was discussed as a hot topic right before a couple of weeks before the draft even started. Sanders was interviewed by numerous coaches and scouts and apparently did not portray a nice personality like many other players who were aiming to get into the NFL.

One of his interviews, which was with the New York Giants, was considered so bad that the Cleveland Browns and the Sanders’ family have threatened legal action if the NY ever leaked the footage. Another NFL scout, who chose to remain anonymous, called Sanders the “worst interview” he ever conducted.
