Shedeur Sanders, newly drafted Cleveland Browns quarterback, seems to have come a long way from his draft process days. Sanders has been rocking in his recent training camps with the Browns and is well on his way to becoming the QB1 for the team someday soon. Renowned sportswriter Mary Kay Cabot said something similar, as reported by Pro Football Network.
Sanders, on his entry into the Browns roster, was not predicted to impress this much even by NFL analysts and fans. However, Sanders has turned the tides in his favor and has positively impressed everyone, including his haters, after his stats at the training camps.
“If Shedeur Sanders continues to progress in training camp like he has over the past two weeks, he will narrow the gap on the other three Browns quarterbacks (Flacco, Pickett, and Gabriel) in the competition. After a bit of a slow start in spring practices, Sanders has come on strong over the last two weeks with plenty of completions, TD passes and grasp of the offensive scheme. Granted, he is still the fourth-team quarterback and has a long way to go. But he has made significant strides during recent organized team activities and the mandatory minicamp, remaining alive in the competition.” Mary Kay Cabot said about Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns.
Shedeur Sanders just put together arguably the MOST IMPRESSIVE body of offseason work (OTA’s + Minicamp) of any rookie QB.
Sanders officially finished all practices with a stat line of 41/53 (77%), ~400+ yards, 9 passing TD’s, and 1 INT (tipped pass).

Shedeur Sanders was, in fact, not the first quarterback selection that the Browns wanted to make in the 2025 NFL draft. In rounds before the fifth round in which Sanders was chosen, Cleveland decided to go with Dillon Gabriel. But it looks like Sanders has easily overtaken Gabriel as a top contender for the starting quarterback spot.

Shedeur Sanders Gets Complimented By Chad Ochocinco For Camp Performance
Shedeur Sanders has been receiving compliments from people left and right about his performance in the recent training camps with the Cleveland Browns. Chad Ochocinco, former NFL player, recently had nothing but great things to say about the youngest son of Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders in a podcast episode.

According to Ochocinco, there’s something definitely different about Sanders that sets him apart from other players in the camp, including rookie Dillon Gabriel himself. It is still unclear whether the Browns will go with Shedeur Sanders as their starting quarterback in the upcoming season. However, recent reports suggest that the Browns will try their best to give everyone of their quarterbacks opportunities to showcase themselves.
