Shedeur Sanders was visibly missing from the Shrine Bowl, where he showed up only to speak to different NFL representatives. It was surprising to see the talented college football player not participating in the practices. Many sources argued that Sanders was hindered from participating in the tournament as a result of the Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans requesting him to do so.
Shedeur Sanders has already attracted interest from a number of NFL teams for the 2025 NFL Draft which is expected to take place in April at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. Currently, the Titans, the Giants and the Browns are holders of the top three picks in the draft. However, these reports were dismissed by Cleveland Browns general manager, Andrew Berry.
“I don’t know where that report came from. That’s not true. That’s not a request that we made. With that being said, I want to be clear: whether he participated in the practices or not, that would have no bearing on how we think of him. But I don’t know where that came from.” Andrew Berry said according to sports writer Mary Kay Cabot.

Shedeur Sanders is currently playing as quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes football team. The 22-year-old transferred to Colorado after playing for the Jackson State Tigers for two years. In the 2024 college football season, Sanders covered 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns and managing ten interceptions.
Shedeur Sanders Impressed Brian Daboll And Joe Schoen At East-West Shrine Bowl
The New York Giants are hell-bent on bringing Shedeur Sanders to their squad. Recently, New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll were seen conversing with Sanders at the East-West Shrine Bowl. Schoen also went on to state that Sanders was indeed a “great kid with an excellent personality”.
Schoen further remarked that Sanders being the kid of a football coach is definitely a pro for the team, and that he “checks all the boxes of a player who has grown up around the game”. Shedeur Sanders’ father, Deion Sanders played for 14 seasons with the NFL with various teams.
In addition to being a footballer, Deion Sanders also played nine seasons with the MLB with the Yankees, Braces, Reds, and the Giants, and went on to win one World Series. He is the only athlete who has participated in a Super Bowl and a World Series.
