Shedeur Sanders’ journey to the NFL was dramatic for various reasons, and he continues to remain in the spotlight. Sanders has stepped onto the field with the Cleveland Browns as he gears up for a strong season. Sadly, he was not picked in the first round and he has a lot to prove.
Sanders wore No. 2 at college, and he was unable to get the same number with the Browns. Wide receiver DeAndre Carter had already taken that number. Rookie players find it important to pick their number in the big leagues.
Recently, Shedeur Sanders was asked if he tried to buy the number from DeAndre Carter. Sanders said he never tried to buy anything since his signing bonus wasn’t high.
“Nah, I’m not trying to buy anything. My signing bonus ain’t that high right now,” he told reporters, drawing a laugh from the audience,” Sanders said.

His teammate Carter has already built a name for himself, and it’s unlikely that he would part with his number.

Shedeur Sanders Looks Forward To A Positive Outcome For 2025
Many anticipated that Shedeur Sanders would make it to the first round. However, things fell apart throughout his draft process. Despite the rough draft process, Sanders is having a great time with his rookie minicamp, and he’s made good friends with several people.
“Thankful for every player apart of our Rookie minicamp. Great relationships was made during our time together,” Sanders said.

Sanders doesn’t seem to care about his late-round draft pick. He’s put that aside and is ready to focus on the future. The QB mentioned that it only mattered on that day and he’ excited to work with the Browns.
“My story is going to be similar, you know, I was a late-round draft pick,” Sanders said. “But we’re here now, so none of that stuff matters, it just mattered on the day. I’m just excited to be here and ready to work,” Sanders continued.

Shedeur Sanders drew a lot of attention throughout the NFL during the draft process. Many thought he would secure a position in the first round, but some believe that Sanders’ lack of interest made things worse..
Sanders has already set his goal high as he wants to bring the Super Bowl to the Cleveland Browns. He’s pretty strong with his goal, and he’s ready to give it his best with the Cleveland Browns.
