Shedeur Sanders missed the 11-on-11 reps in the Cleveland Browns OTA,s and reporters were apparently left concerned about the quarterback’s performance. This was especially even more pronounced since the other quarterbacks of the team, like Joe Flacco, Kenny Picket,t and Dillon Gabriel all participated in the drill.
However, head coach Kevin Stefanski put these matters to rest and revealed that Sanders had completed the drill in other team practices. It definitely looks like all eyes are on Shedeur Sanders as he prepares for his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns. With the team already having several other qualified quarterbacks, Sanders’ possibility of actually playing for the team is pretty low.
Shedeur Sanders didn’t take 11-on-11 reps during the Browns’ OTA practice open to media last week, but Kevin Stefanski said Sanders has done so in other practices.

Shedeur Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns as the 144th pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Before being drafted by the team, the young quarterback played college football for the Jackson State Tigers and the Colorado Buffaloes. In his senior year with the Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders threw for a total of 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns, while managing ten interceptions.

Sanders being included in the Cleveland Browns roster came as quite a shock, especially since the team already has other starting quarterbacks. According to reports, the Browns will be leaning on Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback in the upcoming NFL season. Some rumors also claim that the Browns simply brought in Sanders because he was a cheap deal as his name was called out so late in the NFL draft.
Shedeur Sanders’ Cleveland Browns Will Open Season Against Cincinnati Bengals
Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the Cleveland Browns are gearing up for another exciting season of football, which is set to open with a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. Before that, the Browns will be getting their heart rates up with three preseason games against the Carolina Panthers, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Los Angeles Rams.

In the 2024 NFL season, the Browns finished at the bottom of the AFC North table with only three wins to account for, along with 14 defeats. Cleveland played their very last game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens, losing with a final score of 35-10.

After this NFL offseason, the Cleveland Browns will be eager to improve their record in the upcoming football season. The Browns are also hoping to use the skills of Shedeur Sanders, one of their latest acquisitions, in the forthcoming season.
