The Cleveland Browns are going to be in a position to see what they have with fifth-round draft pick Shedeur Sanders as they continue to figure out their starting quarterback. Splitting reps between four quarterbacks is difficult, but it appears that those reps will be divided differently over the next stretch of time.
Let’s take a closer look into what happened and what it means for Shedeur Sanders as the Browns look to solve their quarterback woes.
Shedeur Sanders Expecting to Get Increased Reps

The Cleveland Browns have a quarterback battle between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, and all four have been trying to impress and break out of the quartet. However, there seems to be some news for one of the quarterbacks.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Kenny Pickett suffered a hamstring injury towards the end of Saturday’s practice and will be evaluated later this upcoming week. As a result, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Joe Flacco will all get increased reps.
Saturday was the final day of practice without pads for the team and the players had Sunday off. With Cleveland’s first preseason game on Friday, there is a chance that Sanders will get to see more practice reps this upcoming week as well as a longer chance on the field during that game than originally anticipated.
As of this writing, the Cleveland Browns have not revealed how the quarterbacks will play in the preseason and how long each will be on the field. However, Sanders has been reportedly impressing people during the practices, so it will be interesting to see how he does heading into the preseason schedule.
