Shedeur Sanders, one of the newest Cleveland Browns quarterbacks, recently had an interesting Q&A session with the students of John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Sanders answered numerous questions about his career and even about his nepotism accusations. Being the youngest son of Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders, Shedeur Sanders has been accused by multiple NFL analysts of using his father’s fame to boost his rankings.
Sanders followed his father, as Deion Sanders coached the Jackson State Tigers as well as the Colorado Buffaloes. Shedeur Sanders played for both these teams in his college football career. In his senior year with Colorado, the quarterback threw for a total of 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns while managing ten interceptions for the team.
“I am who I am. I’m always going to be his son… I’m thankful my dad took the opportunity to do what he was supposed to do. So I don’t ever feel shame or anything like that. I never let outside influence kind of influence me as a person… I’m not gonna let somebody else’s negative thoughts affect how I think.” Shedeur Sanders said in the Q&A session at John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Shedeur Sanders also admitted that he aimed to help the Cleveland Browns win a Super Bowl. In the history of their franchise, the Browns have never won even one Super Bowl, and perhaps with a game-changing quarterback such as Sanders, the team might be finally able to do just that.
In the 2024 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns finished at the bottom of the pile in the AFC North winning only three games and losing 14. In their last game of the season, the Browns were paired with the Baltimore Ravens and lost shamefully 35-10.

Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Slide May Be Because Of A ‘Collusion’
Shedeur Sanders was perhaps the most talked about quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft, especially with the QB being selected only in the fifth round of the draft. While numerous analysts did predict exactly this, that Sanders will definitely come up anywhere in the first three rounds of the draft, others were surprised that NFL teams chose to give up on bringing such a performing QB as Sanders.

Stephen A. Smith attested that there might have been a ‘collusion’ among NFL team general managers, who came together to simply not pick Sanders in the draft. Shedeur Sanders’ pre-draft process was painted as arrogant and brash, while many NFL managers felt that his father, Deion Sanders, might interfere too much in team management. All this put together was responsible for Sanders’ draft stock plummeting.
