OTAs for the Cleveland Browns and other NFL teams are underway. Each team has a storyline entering the 2025 NFL season.

The Browns biggest story for the upcoming season will be who will the starting quarterback be for Cleveland? It appears as if Deshaun Watson will be out of the picture for them. Head coach Kevin Stefanski knows that it will be a battle between four quarterbacks for one starting spot. A Browns reporter gave the latest quarterback update during OTAs on Wednesday.
Cleveland Browns Reporter Gives Shocking Quarterback Depth Chart Update During OTAs

Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com was live at Browns OTAs on Wednesday. Everyone was wondering what the Browns depth chart is going to be at the quarterback position. Cabot reported,
“In offense only drills at #Browns OTAs so far; it’s been Kenny Pickett first, Dillon Gabriel second, Joe Flacco third and Shedeur Sanders fourth.”
It is not a surprise that Pickett would be first because he is a veteran. However, it is a major surprise who is ranked second on this list. Gabriel has the edge over Sanders in this situation. There are some Browns fans who want to see Sanders ahead of Gabriel, but that’s not the case here.
Gabriel was the higher draft pick than Sanders was. Stefanski likes the former Oregon Ducks quarterback more than the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback. When Cleveland drafted him in the fifth round, many people thought that owner Jimmy Haslam wanted Sanders and not Stefanski or general manager Andrew Berry.
It would be a shock if the Browns kept four quarterbacks on the roster. If Cleveland does keep three quarterbacks on the roster, the early odds of the quarterbacks who will make the team will be Pickett, Flacco, and Gabriel. It would not be a surprise if Watson and Sanders are the odd people out at quarterback once the 2025 NFL season rolls out. The quarterback carousel will be a game of musical chairs all summer long. This Cleveland quarterback battle may go down to the wire in training camp.
