Shedeur Sanders has gained plenty of supporters over the last couple of days, after the preseason finale between the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Rams. Sanders definitely did not get much playing time on the field with the Browns and head coach Kevin Stefanski pulled him out before the crucial ending of the game.
Many have been accusing head coach Kevin Stefanski of sabotaging Shedeur Sanders’ future in the NFL. At the same time, others like quarterback coach Quincy Avery have come to Stefanski’s defense, remarking that the head coach definitely knew what he was doing. Avery also called out those like former quarterback Robert Griffin III who condemned Stefanski for not giving Sanders the same opportunities like Dillon Gabriel.

“I think Stefanski is a really good coach. Coaches know their team and their room better than we ever could. I’m sure he had good logic behind the decision,” Quincy Avery tweeted his support for Cleveland Browns head coach, Kevin Stefanski, in his decision to pull out Shedeur Sanders prematurely in the preseason finale against the LA Rams.

“Y’all keep responding to @GRIII he’s gonna keep saying stupid stuff. He lives for this engagement.” Avery hit out at former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III in a recent tweet.
While many have come out in defense of Shedeur Sanders, the rookie quarterback himself feels pretty good about his performance in the preseason. Deion Sanders’ youngest son admitted that he thinks pretty highly of himself but also remarked that it was ultimately the team’s decision.

Shedeur Sanders Feels He Deserves A Spot In The Browns Roster
In the interview after the preseason finale, Shedeur Sanders revealed to reporters that he feels pretty great about his work with the Cleveland Browns. Sanders was picked by the Browns in the fifth round as a surprising move and the quarterback quickly rose to become the team’s most popular player.
“I think, overall, as a player, I’ve put in the work. I feel like everything I do, I try to do it to my best, and that’s all I can ask for. I feel like everybody feels like they should be on the team. If you ask anybody on the team, would they feel like they belong, they belong in their own eyes. I feel like I do.” Shedeur Sanders revealed to reporters.
Shedeur Sanders is currently listed as QB3 in the Cleveland Browns depth chart. The quarterback moved two spots higher in the list after the Browns traded away Kenny Pickett and released Tyler Huntley.
