Shedeur Sanders has had an interesting last couple of weeks with him being picked in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. A few days back, Sanders was the guest of a Q&A session at the John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he dropped plenty of interesting details about himself and his current mindset.
What was surprising to note was the difference in his tone and attitude before and after the draft. During the pre-draft process, a number of NFL analysts perceived Sanders to be arrogant and brash. However, after his draft stock plummeted, leaving the quarterback to be picked only in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns, Sanders seems to be slightly more down-to-earth when compared to his pre-draft version.

Shedeur Sanders was expected to be one of the best picks in the very first round of the NFL draft long before the event occurred. However, as time went, his personality was painted as arrogant and brash due to not just one, but several instances. As a result of this, Sanders’ name was not called out in the first few rounds of the draft.
Before the NFL, Sanders played college football for the Jackson State Tigers and the Colorado Buffaloes. In his senior year for the Buffaloes, the 23-year-old quarterback threw for 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns, while managing ten interceptions for the team.
Shedeur Sanders Is Not Like Bronny James According To Shannon Sharpe
Shedeur Sanders is being compared to other nepo babies in sports after he was picked by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Shannon Sharpe, retired NFL tight end, compared Sanders with Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, who has also faced nepotism accusations.
However, Sharpe pointed out on ‘The Nightcap’ that Sanders is quite different from Bronny James in the fact that the son of LeBron James keeps it ‘low-key’ and is not as flash as the youngest son of Deion Sanders.
Shedeur Sanders is known for his solidly confident attitude, both on and off the field, which can be mistaken for arrogance by some. The young quarterback is also often seen wearing a heavy diamond necklace with the word ‘Legendary’ on it, referring to himself.
