Shedeur Sanders, newly drafted Cleveland Browns quarterback, has made plenty of waves ever since the pre-draft process. Sanders has continued making waves even after he started officially training with the Browns this offseason, both on and off the field. Last month, the quarterback made news for the wrong reasons as he was given two speeding tickets in a matter of a couple of weeks, with numerous analysts and fans condemning him for his behavior.
Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton blamed Sanders’ father, Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders, for his son’s current predicament in the league. Newton is, of course, not the only one who has come out in criticism of Deion Sanders for overprotecting his children and meddling too much I their affairs. In fact, Coach Prime’s over-involvement in Shedeur Sanders’ football was stated as the main reason as to why his stock in the draft fell.
“…I think what Shedeur was doing, what Shedeur was saying, what his father was saying- and I have the utmost respect for Prime, and the way the father was kind of engulfed his children in a way that we all, you know, as parents, want to make sure that our children are protected and taken care of. But there’s also certain things- when you put a microscope to. Okay, you’re playing quarterback. Okay, you’re going into this league. Okay, you understand how we’re doing things. There are certain things that you got to incorporate too, you know what I’m saying?” Cam Newton said about Shedeur Sanders in the latest episode of his show.

Shedeur Sanders, meanwhile, has been impressing everyone after his remarkable presence at the Cleveland Browns training camps. The rookie quarterback is hoping to start for a few games for the Browns in the upcoming NFL season.

Shedeur Sanders Will Not Start In Week 1 For Browns
While Shedeur Sanders’ fans are hoping to see the quarterback play for the Cleveland Browns from the very first week of the 2025 NFL season, it does not look like the team wants him to do so. According to recent reports, the Browns will be going with veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in the first week and instead reserve both rookies, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, for later parts.

Shedeur Sanders will definitely be a stellar quarterback if he ever does start for the Browns. The talented player churned out impressive scores in his college football career for both the Colorado Buffaloes and the Jackson State Tigers.
