Shedeur Sanders knows will have a massive chip on his shoulder to start his career after falling in the 2025 NFL Draft. Landing with the Cleveland Browns, who has five quarterbacks on their roster at the moment, creates for a lot of competition to not only be the starting quarterback, but make the roster.
This week, Shedeurs had something to say regarding each one of the other quarterbacks on the roster.
Shedeur Sanders Makes Public Comments About Each One Of The Other Quarterbacks On Brown Roster

Shedeur Sanders has been saying all the right things since signing with the Browns at the NFL Draft in 2025:
His latest show of class was directed at the quarterbacks he’s competing with.
In an interview with Kay Adams, Sanders refused to identify any one trait that makes him better than anyone else. He instead heaped praise on all of them – Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson and rookie Dillon Gabriel – and made it clear that everyone is “cool in the room.” Sanders said that it feels like people are trying to divide the room, but they’re unified.
“Everybody’s cool in the room,” Sanders said. “Outside the room, people try to pit us against each other, but, inside the room, we know we’re one.”
Users on social media were pleasantly surprised by how humble the former Colorado star acted towards his fellow quarterbacks. Some are hoping he proves the doubters wrong, though many also mocked him for not acting this way earlier in the process.

“Who knew it was possible to be extremely confident in yourself while also being humble towards others? Shocking!” one user remarked.
“I hope he proves a lot of people wrong. People make mistakes – especially young people. He’s obviously a good kid and comes from a good home,” wrote another.
“When’s the last time a 5th rdr has gotten this much press? Anyone advising this kid to just stay out of the limelight, decline media requests & earn it on the field? All this press (kinda) makes me want to see him fail. #Browns have a circus on their hands w this. #DawgPound,” a third wrote.

Here is a look at Cleveland’s depth chart on ESPN:
Starter | 2nd | 3rd | 4th |
---|---|---|---|
Deshaun Watson Q | Kenny Pickett | Joe Flacco | Dillon Gabriel |
Shedeur will have to take advantage of every opportunity he is given.
