Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns quarterback, has already crept his way into people’s hearts with his immense talent and charm, despite all the stories cooked up by naysayers. While Sanders is definitely a powerhouse of talent, it is not clear if the quarterback will be starting quarterback for the Browns in the 2025 NFL season. According to recent reports, the Browns will be mostly starting with veteran quarterbacks, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.

However, many fans of the team have also been voicing their opinions online that they want Shedeur Sanders to start for the Browns in the upcoming season. Retired NFL cornerback, Asante Samuel, also echoed a similar sentiment in a recent interview, and also remarked that fans would start booing the team if Flacco and Pickett don’t perform this year.
“People want to see him play. Imagine the stadium booing Flacco & Pickett because they want #12. If they don’t produce, you can guarantee fans will start chanting we want Shedeur” Asante Samuel spoke about Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns in a recent interview by JaKi from Colorado University.

Meanwhile, there are still many who feel that Shedeur Sanders has to work on several aspects of his game before he can be considered a starting quarterback. For instance, the quarterback has been known to hold on to the ball for longer than needed, which might not work well in the NFL. Sanders’ throwing abilities have also been questioned by both analysts and scouts.
Shedeur Sanders Gets Ready For Training Camp With Browns
On the other hand, Shedeur Sanders seems like he’ll be going all out to become a starting quarterback with the Cleveland Browns, according to his recent post on Instagram. One day before Cleveland’s training camp started, Sanders took to Instagram to post, “Time to be legendary”.

This simple post by Shedeur Sanders shows that the rookie quarterback will be doing everything in his power to impress the big guys and hopefully get a starting quarterback role with the team. However, Sanders has to get past several other players, including Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and even rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, before he can be considered for starting quarterback.
There are rumors going around that the Browns might simply rotate between quarterbacks to give everyone a strong chance. But, this idea has been dismissed by NFL pundits who feel that the Browns will be taking a big risk with a move such as this.
