Shedeur Sanders’ position in the Cleveland Browns squad was recently discussed by retired NFL running back LeSean McCoy in his recent appearance on ‘The Facility’. Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns as the 144th pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Initially, the talented quarterback was touted to be one of the best prospects in the draft. However, his draft stock soon plummeted after various NFL scouts and analysts promoted him as arrogant.
Right now, the Cleveland Browns have a number of quarterbacks on their roster, including veteran Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Along with Sanders, Gabriel was also selected by the Browns in the recently concluded draft.
“You drafted a first-round QB in the 5th round to teach him a lesson, and it backfired.” LeSean McCoy said on ‘The Facility’ about Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns.

The Cleveland Browns are definitely eager to try out Shedeur Sanders, but the talented quarterback is not expected to start for the team. Recently, Sanders signed his rookie contract with the Browns, sealing his future with them. In order to keep him and other players motivated, the Browns are willing to try him and the rest of the quarterbacks out equally.

Shedeur Sanders’s Cleveland Browns To Meet Bengals In Season-Opener
Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders’ new tem, the Cleveland Browns are scheduled to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the first game of their upcoming NFL season. Before their opening game, the Browns will be stretching their muscles with three preseason games, against the Carolina Panthers, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams.

The Cleveland Browns will be eager to improve their performance when compared to the previous football season. Last year, the Browns finished at the bottom of the AFC North with only three wins and 14 defeats. Cleveland played their very last game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens, losing with a final score of 35-10.

Apart from bringing in talented players like Shedeur Sanders, the Cleveland Browns have been busy making other moves during their offseason. Before being drafted by the Browns, Sanders split his college football career between the Jackson State Tigers and the Colorado Buffaloes. In his senior year for the Buffaloes, Sanders threw for a total of 4,134 yards, scoring 37 touchdowns, while managing ten interceptions for the team. It looks like Shedeur Sanders has plenty to prove before he gets a solid role in the Cleveland Browns squad.
